Video Sales Page Formula: Video Marketing is all BS and Hype?

In 2007 I got the opportunity to work with a company based in Ohio who wanted me to develop websites and landing pages for them… landing pages are typically pages with a very specific message targeted at a specific audience with a strong call to action in order to get a direct response or elicit an action from the visitor.

Most have the typical sales page type format…

I recommended to the client to use video as a tool to get the message across because, in this busy world, people do not have time to read long form sales letters (a really long sales letter that takes several minutes to completely finish reading).. people are busy, people want to get an answer fast.. video on the other hand is more engaging and easier for the visitor (watching and hearing is easier than reading), which is why video sales pages and video sales letters have become very effective in delivering messages.

My client’s reaction to my recommendation.. video is just all HYPE.

Fast forward to 2010.. I’m still in business.. and he.. is nowhere to be found (and he still owes money for all the work completed for him) ….

And I use video a lot on a variety of websites and web pages.

I always knew video would be big. There’s no arguing about that. But the question now is, how do you use video to effectively transmit your message to your audience?

A buddy of mine has just released a course on video marketing.. it’s not complicated really, all you need to do is follow his instructions and watch as he shows you how to put together video sales letters that engage your visitors and make them willingly and happily do whatever conversion it is you want them to do on the page… it would feel as if you were peeking right over his shoulder as he puts together his own pages.

Go visit my buddy Ryan’s page here, http://guruproductlaunch.com/ap/c/videosalesletterformula I strongly recommend it.
