Google Shadow – Just WHO is the Google Shadow?
Google Shadow .. when I first heard about this new product I thought to myself, “Chris X and his team are up to it again.” Yes these are the same guys behind products like Affiliate X, DJK, Google Assassin, Google Nemesis.. and their most recent release which again piggy-backs on the almighty big G of search engines, Google Shadow.
Take me to the Google Shadow page now.
I am going to run you through a few things about the product that you might already know, but will tell you a bit more that you will probably not find mentioned a lot in all those Google Shadow review sites.
Here is what everyone is telling you about Google Shadow.
- Google Shadow is about an affiliate marketer’s strategy to bank over 100k every month through affiliate sales
- Google Shadow is a pay per click direct linking strategy (remember Google Cash?) wherein you put up ads on AdWords that directly link to a sales page of a product you are promoting as an affiliate
- Google Shadow comes with a pdf guide
- Google Shadow also comes with a piece of software that automates the process of creating campaigns and ad groups
- Google Shadow works, and Chris shows all these gazillion ClickBank accounts to reinforce his authority and that you should take his word for it..
What you may not know about Google Shadow.
- The Google Shadow is a real live person who is indeed at this level of success and is living proof of the affiliate marketing lifestyle, his name.. Tim Houston
- Tim lives in the bar area (close to where I am)
- Tim has been doing affiliate marketing since 2001 and of course did not get to 100k per month overnight, it took years
Take me to the Google Shadow page now.
Let us talk about Tim’s (Google Shadow) PPC Strategy
- Speed is the name of the game, he first finds affiliate programs and products, then signs up
- Creates a test campaign, using a handful of close knit keywords, with a test budget of around $25-$30
- He starts bidding high, to get his ads noticed or in preferred positions
- He does several of these tests and drops the ones that are duds, and keeps the ones that perform
Affiliate marketers who use PPC are at a debate at which strategy works better, linking directly to a sales page OR sending our PPC traffic to your squeeze page or review page. This debate has raged on for so long and it really is funny, sometimes I think this is staged for the purpose of getting people to buy whatever products they promote.
Well, the answer to that is actually.. these methods both do work and server a purpose.
Here is how it goes…
- First, you test markets and test products using PPC direct linking, you have to do this quickly to mine those profitable keywords/products
- You get rid of the losers, and you develop the winners
By developing the winners, I mean to say, this is when you start building a review page, spending time and effort on a product that you already know will convert. You will just be wasting all that time and effort putting up a review page for a product that you are not sure would convert.
Why spend one hour building an hour on a review site, when in that same hour you can create hundreds of test campaigns with Google Shadow. When you find the winners, that is where you focus your efforts on.
Enough talk! Take me to the Google Shadow page now.
And one last thing, Tim Houston is hardly in the IM or make money online niches, and while he is indeed in the big affiliate programs like ClickBank or CJ, a lot of the niches he profits from are actually independent affiliate programs run by the product owners themselves.
Here is an interview with the Google Shadow himself… to listen to the interview click the blue button below.
PPC Web Spy: Must-Have Free AdWords Keyword Spy
PPC Web Spy is something you must take a look at. We know of Adwords and PPC (Pay Per Click) Spy tools that allow you to find out what keywords your competitors on AdWords are bidding on, but none of them reveal the keywords on the fly, as you browse through Google’s search results pages.
That’s right, you instantly get the keywords as you browse the search results pages. I don’t know if you know any other keyword spy tool around that does that, I don’t… and best of all, its free. Get the software here, PPC Web Spy. Be sure to play the video on the page so you see how it works.
The Arbitrage Conspiracy: Big Product Launch Turns Into a Big BUST?
If you are on any “guru’s” list you might have received some mail outs about The Arbitrage Conspiracy, which in a nutshell is a pretty well made story (a marketing story) about Aymen, a guy from Egypt who made it big in internet marketing particularly CPA offers; he wowed the gurus and the gurus backed him up in what looked like one of the biggest product launches backed by (and with video testimonials) some of the biggest gurus on the planet. I mean, they all came out said something on video about the product. If you have not seen the video, check it out here, www.arbitrageconspiracy.com.
But what happened… well, they conducted a live call, with the main point at driving these leads who opted for the call to a landing page / sales page and get a conversion.
The instruction was to go to refresh this page www.arbitrageconspiracy.com/quickstart, at 11:45 Pacific, Wednesday December 10. But at 2:35PM now, you see this image.
If the image is too small to read it basically says they are having technical difficulties and that these would be fixed shortly.
I didn’t think there were any real serious problems until an internet marketer who backed that product and who’s mailing list I am on, sent out an email saying he was infuriated by this launch gone bad.. check out the post, http://www.nothingheldback.com/18.html#comment-58… and I quote “..enough is enough. No communication, piss poor calls, delay after delay. I’ve had it.”
What made it a little annoying for a lot of people was, they were also collecting email addresses from people who wanted to get a 15 minute advantage over the rest of interested buyers, so you can image how many people signed up to this VIP list and get their hands on the product before the “masses” do, only to be sitting in front of their PCs for hours hitting the refresh button on the page. Check out the links at the end of this post. No they are not affiliate links but links to posts of people pissed about it.
So the launch went awry, but why did this happen? A few questions come to mind.
- Were they ready? Or were they rushing this because they wanted to come in early in December, since people are about to, or might already have, started to do Christmas shopping.
- Did they rush it because they wanted people to buy on impulse due to the big names behind it and the big promises made?
- This is a comment I read somewhere and went like… if this guys makes this much money (over $50k) a day, can’t he afford to get the right and decent technology to make sure that the back end works and well, keep all based covered so the launch does not fail.
Of course… there are always these unforeseeable situations, challenges that work against you when you launch a product, and hey, its not simply about launching a product, it’s life in general. In everything that you do, want, aspire for, desire, work for… there are always these things that get in your way and block you, serve as obstacles for you to either hurdle or fall over.
As for The Arbitrage Conspiracy, it looks like the “esoteric like” knowledge as they have presented it to be, will in interim remain within the circle of conspirators… that is, until the time comes when they can finally get that web page to work.
