Internet Marketing And The Role Of Email Marketing
When you hear the term “internet marketing“, what do you think of?
For many, that term conjures thoughts of websites or spamming or search engines like Google, Yahoo and Bing. For others, it’s all about graphical design, writing fancy code or even affiliate programs. All of those answers correct, but the essence of internet marketing is much simpler.
At its core, internet marketing is about these things:
* Understanding the target market to which the product/service/cause you’re marketing will appeal
* Determining exactly how your target market interacts with the internet
* Positioning your content on the internet to attract the attention of your target market
* Collecting information about your target market (also known as “leads”) for follow-up and conversion into sales
* Design of offers or incentives to induce the desired actions from your leads
Since there is insufficient space in this article to give all of these topics adequate attention, let’s focus on just one specific topic with the realm of internet marketing: Email Marketing.
My best payoff has always come by focusing on permission-based email marketing. Permission-based email marketing refers to the practice of collecting information (including email addresses) from website visitors and communicating with them via e-mail with their direct consent. The “permission” aspect of permission-based email marketing is what separates legitimate email marketers from the spammers that everyone despises.
My love of email marketing is strong for one reason: It works very well. Email marketing has been much like a never-ending goldmine: It enables us to produce income on demand simply by sending a good offer to our list. When you have thousands of loyal subscribers – as we do – and you put a strong and compatible offer in front of them, income becomes nearly automatic.
However, the key to successful email marketing is the development of a legitimate trust relationship with your subscribers. If you opt to send your subscribers a request for purchases every single day, they will likely tire of your badgering and cease reading your emails altogether.
Alternatively, if you take the time to provide good content to your readers on a regular and frequent basis, you’ll discover that your readers take all of your emails far more seriously, and as a result your emails will be opened, read and acted upon with greater frequency. Essentially, email marketing is really an exercise in trust.
Even though there are more sides to internet marketing than just email marketing (permission based), email has been the foundation that our business sits on.
Auto-Responders 101
If you know anything about internet marketing, then you know that using an auto-responder is a key element the business. Set up the right way, it can do all the hard work when it comes to building relationships with your customers.
Auto-responders also have many uses. They are sometimes used to manage contacts. Management of future email blasts is another use for them. In addition, they make building and storing multiple lists and email sequences a breeze because they remove all the annoying actions of manually doing it.
2 main types of auto-responders exist:
• Auto-responder subscriptions
With this type you don’t have to install it on your server. For newbies this may be the easier route. You will have to pay for this type monthly.
Monthly pay auto-responders also have a down side. The number of contacts you acquire may be restricted. You may share an IP address with other customers if you use this type of service. Because of spam rules, your emails, may not always reach their intended contact. Lastly, you may end up paying more in the long run for this type of service than just buying your own server based auto-responder.
• One time pay auto-responders
More positives come from this type than negatives. To begin with, you will not be capped or penalized on the amount of contacts you have. Second, using a dedicated IP address will prevent you from getting blocked by the email providers because of someone else’s spamming efforts. Unlike subscription auto-responders, you will have better control of your contacts with this type.
You can expect more options for configuring the server based auto-responders including the option to set how many emails go out per minute. Email providers may flag and block your IP address if you try to send out too many emails at a time.
You will be able to save time, energy, and money if you know how to choose the right auto-responder. Pick carefully as this amazing tool can help you reap great rewards.
MaxPro Marketing System – A Turnkey Online Marketing System For Smart Folk Who Are Not “Techies”
There are tons of affiliate programs and marketing systems offered on the Internet constantly. I just ran a fast Google search for “affiliate programs” and received 25,600,000 hits. Upon searching for “affiliate marketing systems,” Google displayed a smaller – but still mind-boggling – 13,700,000 results.
That is far too many for any single person to be able to evaluate that many possibilities and find a quality affiliate program that has an automated marketing system.
When I need to learn something new, or start a new venture, I find that I get the best results if I can locate experts in the business and become a student of them.
For me to believe people who call themselves experts, they need to convince me that they’ve “been there and done that.” Especially, when it comes to internet “gurus,” I want to see that they’ve really been successful online and that they have already made lots of money with their own affiliate companies.
I found one such internet guru – Darren Salkeld, of Infinite Income Plan notoriety. Salkeld’s story is one of those true “rags to riches” stories; the American Dream personified. Mr. Salkeld overcame a $50,000 in debt and earned over $250,000 in less than 90 days.
He explained two critical factors to me:
- Don’t spend your energy trying to earn few dollars when you can just as easily earn a lot of money, and
- Learn how to work once but get paid forever (i.e., develop residual income)
What do most internet programs have in common with sugar cookie recipes?
When I was a young person, my grandmother was rather “famous” in our neighborhood for her sugar cookies; everyone loved them. In fact, they liked them so much that many people requested a copy of her recipe.
Unfortunately, my grandmother kept all her recipes in her head, and it seemed, when she went to write the recipe out for one of these friends, some “secret ingredient” always got lost.
No one was ever able to make sugar cookies that came out just like my grandmother’s – not even when they used her “recipe”.
Many online programs are like that sugar cookie recipe – there is frequently some “secret ingredient” that is not there. Some key component that was not included when training their new affiliates.
Salkeld, on the other hand, has told me, “This IIP MaxPro Marketing System is the same system that my business partner, Mike Antoni, and I use.” The very same system that they use to generate a seven figure income from the Net.
With their new IIP MaxPro System, they are providing future online millionaires with a complete system. The new MaxPro includes products and services for website set-up and hosting, automated lead management from initial lead capture through closure, in-house staff in the Call Center to help the new affiliate with follow-up calls, a savvy technical support team, and training.
Training like the Traffic Blitz CD Course which captures the knowledge and wisdom of several additional members of Mr. Salkeld’s Mastermind Group and teaches a lot of ways for the newcomer to produce both paid – and free – targeted traffic to their website.
Essentially, MaxPro does practically everything but drive prospects to the website – that’s the affiliate’s main job.
The “hot off the presses” Max Pro System was launched July 10, 2009. Get the FREE Report and Audio which explains the ancient secrets of generating financial security.
